Layla Salameh is a designer and visual artist with a love for the beauty and fluidity found in the dark depths of the ocean. Her latest collection, WAVES, highlights the ocean's ability to mute the noise of the world, bringing attention and awareness back to oneself. WAVES evokes the amplified feeling of awareness one finds when bobbing belly up in the waves of the saltiest sea, hearing your heartbeat and breath in the way that can only be heard submerged in water. Originally from Houston, Layla moved to Austin to pursue Architecture at the University of Texas and has loved living and creating in Austin ever since.
